Connor would not stop screaming during these pictures so we didn't get very many good ones. I can not believe how different he looked that first day of life!! These were actually taken minutes before we found out he was sick and they took him away from us.

Baby Connor

He's finally home! After 11 days and 10 nights in the hospital baby Connor is home. Labor was great and was the easiest part of this whole process for me. I guess you can't have everything easy, right?! We were so lucky that we were able to stay in the hospital with him the entire time he was there! We got a room right across from the nursery which made it nice for his night time feedings. I am so glad we delivered at a small hospital so we could stay there and he got SO much attention from all of the nurses. I think he misses them all. He is a really good baby except when it is time to eat then he thinks it is time to scream at the top of his lungs. He likes to sleep in his swing the best so that is where we let him sleep so we can get some sleep too. We love having him home and we are so happy that he is feeling better! Here is a picture of him after his second bath in the hospital. He had a ziplock bag over his arm to cover his PICC line.

Is it really over?

I'm officially done with Nursing school FOREVER! I never want to think about school again and I am so happy!! Here are the girls and boys that I survived the last 2 years with at our pinning ceremony! I will miss seeing them all at 530 for clinicals and at school all of the time! But I am happy to be done! Other than that Baby is making me fat...or I am making me fat and we are happy we only have 2 months left until he comes!! I can't believe it, it still seems unreal.. until I see pictures of myself or I see my reflection!

Already March!

Sorry we have no pictures! Time is flying by lately. It is almost april which means I am almost done with nursing school!!! I can not wait. The good news is Baby Boy is moving around like crazy lately. The bad news is that I gained more weight than I thought possible at my last doctors appointment. Some more good news is that I finished all of my night clinicals and I only have 1 full day clinical left!!! Laura and my cute nieces came for a visit for a week and we miss them so much. I love walking up to Addison telling Michael to wake up!!! We miss all of our family and friends and wish they would come visit Utah more often!! If anyone has boy name suggestions send them our way...the only problem is we know everyone keeps their favorite names secret so people don't steal them, but we'll still take the o.k. list name suggestions.

January

We started a new year and are so excited for it! I started my last semester of nursing school and Michael is working hard, enjoying his job, and studying for GMAT. I start my PM clinicals this weekend so wish me luck, and if you wake up in the middle of the night feel free to send me a text encouraging me to stay there and not go home and go to bed! This semester really is going to be my most exhausting one with pm and am clinicals and 3 nursing classes. But there is an end in sight! We are excited to get these next 4 months over with! Happy 2011!!! We miss all of our friends and family and hope when school is over we will be able to see more of everyone! Come visit us please!

Decemeber

Merry Christmas

Christmas was so fun this year. The girls came with all of the babies, but we missed Greg, Emily, Aimee, Jack, and Ryan who is on his mission. We spent part of the day with my family and part of the day with Michael's family and his grandparents who came over for Christmas! It was a great break and so fun to be with everyone!

November was great! We got to spend Thanksgiving in Cayman and we missed a huge snow storm while we were gone! It was a perfect get away full of sun, scuba diving, reading, swimming, napping, paddle boarding, seadooing, kyaking, family, and fun.

Happy Halloween

Michael and I were doughnuts for Halloween. We were inspired by our nieces Addison and Kourtney who were much cuter doughnuts for sure! My mom and I made them right before the Halloween party and no one knew what we were...haha. I guess people in Utah don't eat doughnuts...it's true there are no good doughnut shops around.

Surfing

For Ryan's last family night he wanted to go surfing with everyone. We had such a fun last Monday night with him. We miss already but it sounds like he loves every second of his mission!

3 years!

We had our 3 year anniversary on August 10th. Time is flying by! We tried to think of everything we have done since then and we came up with a ton. Here are a few: We have both graduated from BYU, I have finished 3 semesters of nursing school, we have gone to Honduras, Guatemala, the Cayman Islands 2 times, I have had 2 jobs, Michael has had 3, We have 5 new nieces and a new nephew, and we have loved every minute of it! I love you Michael!

Back to School

I started 4th Semester of Nursing School today and to celebrate I did my first IV. We learned in lab today and Michael let me start one on him tonight! I only forgot to take the tourniquet off which resulted in A LOT of blood. I can't believe I am already in 4th semester! Only one more after this!! May can not come soon enough...

In 4 days....

When Addison (our niece) was here 2 times ago for a visit we came downstairs to our kitchen to find this...

She was down there all alone and found some cake that was left out on the table! She loved it!! She really is crazy and too cute!

San Francisco

Finally second semester of nursing school is over!! i start third semester tomorrow, but i am looking forward to it. Now for some updates. In March Michael and I went and stayed with the Abinantes for a week and had fun playing in San Fransico. We did so much while we were there and we had tons of fun! On our drive there we got stuck in a snow storm in the pass in Nor Cal. It wasn't very fun, but we eventually made it and had a perfect week! We went to Alcatraz, The Golden Gate Bridge, Ghiradelli, Fisherman's Warf, Shopping, Haight Ashbury and everywhere else....

The O.R.

For clinical this week we got to go to the O.R. We were actually put in pairs of 2 and sent to different O.R's. I was sent to OutPatient...not that exciting. I watched 2 knee surgeries and when my last patient woke up, Morgan, from my class, came in and asked if I wanted to go watch a breast reduction. So I said I would go for a little since they said it was a 3-4 hour surgery. The Surgeon walked in and said, "I have been making them bigger all morning, and now I get to make them smaller." I thought they would cut a small incision and just suck out the fat, like lipo or something...well obviously I know nothing about breast reductions... it smelled bad, it was MESSY, and I saw a lot of fat. She must be really sore...

Nursing School

Sometimes when I am not studying I think to myself, goodness I never study for school, it isn't that bad. Then on days like today I look at the clock 12:53 am, and realize that all I did today was... went to church, studied, took a nap, studied, ate dinner, studied, took a bath (and studied), studied, studied, and studied... Now I am going to bed so I can wake up early to go...study. maybe I do study all of the time, and when I am not studying I am having so much fun that I forgot how much I really do study. Why did no one tell me how stressful nursing school was??? And why do I feel like I still know nothing...Time never goes by as fast as it does when you are trying to study or when you are doing homework assignments. This semester can not be over soon enough!

I'm giving blood right now.
